Chapter 01 · Stay

Three categories, one quiet hallway.

Fifty-two rooms across three plans — every one renovated within the last eighteen months. No new wings, no new builds. The same quiet hallway, refined.

A note before the rooms

Linen-cotton, blackout, and a deep tub for the suites.

Every room renovated within the last eighteen months — we did not add a single new one, we made the existing fifty-two better. Real desks, real curtains, real silence after the lift doors close.

The rooms

What's in every room

Quiet basics, well chosen.

The small intuitive things, present in every category. We did not single them out as upgrades because they should not be upgrades.

Linen, properly

Linen-cotton blends across every category — pressed in-house, changed daily on request, but not by default. Down or hypoallergenic pillows; both, if you prefer.

The kettle & the cup

An espresso machine and ground beans from Mortar & Pestle a block away. A real kettle for the late hours, with a small loose-leaf jar from Orange Tea Co.

Silence after eleven

Soundproofed corridors, soft-close fittings, blackout curtains. We do not run the lifts past midnight unless asked. The hallway settles when the kitchen does.

A real desk

Every room has one, with a chair you can actually work from. Stable wi-fi, a multi-region adapter in the drawer, a reading lamp on a separate switch from the overheads.

The minibar

A short list of regional pours — one Orange chardonnay, one cabernet, a Cool Climate sparkling, a brewed coffee can — billed honestly, restocked once daily.

Pets & cots

A small number of ground-floor rooms accept well-behaved dogs. Cots, high-chairs, and child-safety packs available on every floor — please mention at booking.

House rules & small print

Plainly stated, so you can plan.

The few details that travellers most often ask about, written without hedging.

The cellar letter

Letters from the cellar, twice a season.

Quiet news from the property — what is pouring, what is on the chef's table, the long weekends worth composing ahead. Nothing more, nothing weekly.
